Dr. Sally Willey
Dr. Sally Willey began her journey in medicine initially wanting to become an M.D. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Metropolitan State University of Denver, she worked as a medical assistant in a primary care office. Here, she saw the good and the bad of using only one approach to health and medicine. After various health issues of her own, she was herself let down by this approach and became determined to look for alternatives, finding her way into naturopathic medicine.
Dr. Willey completed a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2021. Here she learned the importance of treating the whole person, using modern medical diagnostic tools and ancient healing wisdom. Dr. Willey approaches each patient as a unique individual using nutrition, lifestyle, botanical medicine, and homeopathy as tools to work with patients in achieving their health goals.
Her particular focus is on the emotional aspects of health. Again learning from her own personal struggle with depression and anxiety, she was forced to realize that the emotional aspect of health is shamefully overlooked and too often disregarded. Our emotions can have an amazing power over our bodies and effect everything from muscle tension to digestion. By incorporating this idea in her approach to patients, she uses a number of techniques in order to best address and support the whole person.
