Dr. Katie says, “not to set a bunch of goals, and set them to some unattainable high place. Work on small steps, commit to those and make sure they’re attainable.”
If you’ve ever heard of smart goals, you’ll know that you need your goals to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time bound. You can get a copy of our SMART goal worksheet here.

Simply fill in your goals with exactly what you want to accomplish. Figure out a way of how you’ll know when it actually is accomplished that way you can celebrate the achievement. Start researching how you can actually achieve the school. Sometimes you have a goal that has a very specific completion however, you don’t necessarily know how to achieve it and that’s where the resource comes in. How are you going to figure out the process for this goal? ask a human, ask Google ask, the robots in that order! Somebody’s already figured it out before and if they haven’t, you can tweak a similar path.
Make sure that your goal is relevant for you and your life that’s going to make you have the motivation to actually accomplish something if it’s not relevant to you, it’s not worthwhile to you. You won’t really have the drive to accomplish that goal. One of the most important aspects of achieving a goal is making sure you set a deadline or a due date! As humans, we often get busy and shuffle our priorities, but having a deadline for yourself is a commitment and a contract to when you absolutely must get this done that helps you stay accountable start with one smart specific goal before jumping into an entire list of unobtainable goals for the year once you’ve accomplished the goal, you could add another to your plate.
